How to Develop Your Intuition – Part 2
In this second part of developing your intuition, we will review tools that can help you do so. You may wish to use a combination of these tools. The more you practice and use them, the easier it will get. Read part 1 about keys to easier access and clearer intuition.
Tools to help develop your intuition
Crystals, gemstones, and minerals help to anchor and amplify certain vibrational qualities. When we connect with the essence of a crystal and enlist its help for certain goals – such as increase our confidence, self-love, connection with our divine essence, etc. it enhances these qualities in and around us.
You can let yourself be drawn towards a certain stone or you can learn how to use and care for stones through a specific process I teach here.
2 – Dowsing
Dowsing is a form of applied intuition. It is a way of getting an answer not necessarily available through the rational mind. It is a way of tapping into the consciousness of your body and divine essence by asking a clear question and getting an answer in the form of a yes or no.
Dowsing is my preferred way of getting specific answers. I have also found that dowsing increased my clairvoyance and clairsentience abilities.
You can read more about dowsing by reading my Complete Guide to Dowsing – How to Access Your Intuition ‘On-Demand’. Click here to read.
3 – Clearing fears
Clearing the blocks that prevent you from feeling safe and trusting your inner knowing would also be helpful. You may have experienced some past-life where you were killed for practicing ‘witchery’ or for having skills that scared people.
The feeling of castration for being different is something most of us struggle with, no matter the era. It can leave us feeling vulnerable and/or rejected for being different. In that case, you could be sabotaging your attempts to develop and use these talents and abilities.
You may wish to dowse the following questions to start an inquiry process:
To what degree am I fearful of working with my intuition?
To what degree do I believe I will cause harm to myself and/or others by using my intuition?
To what degree do I believe it is difficult to access my intuition?
To what degree do I doubt my intuition?
To what degree am I worried about getting wrong answers?
You may wish to use Emotional Freedom Technique or see dissolving into a golden light during meditation to start clearing the fears around using your intuition.
4 – Clearing Emotional Goo
If you hold a lot of unresolved emotions and restrictive or misguided beliefs, those filters will prevent accuracy. It also clouds the intuitive insights and makes it difficult to know if it’s our intuition speaking or our fears.
Again, you may use dowsing to inquire about the unresolved emotions you hold in your field. If you think or know unresolved emotions, restrictive beliefs and dynamics are causing a lot of unpleasant patterns in your life, I’d love to help you with that.
I am highly effective at perceiving and clearing those energies.
5 – Meditation
Meditation practice the ability to bring ourselves back into our body and into the present moment. When we pay attention to our body and we are present in the moment (instead of in our mind, worrying about past events or potential futures) we are more open to hearing our intuition and inner guidance.
You don’t need to sit down to meditate. You can meditate by washing dishes, going for a walk, cleaning your house. Meditation is a state of relaxation and presence. By consciously relaxing your body, your mind, your thoughts, your worries, you bring your focus back to your body.
There are many different types of meditation. If you haven’t found the one that speaks to you, don’t give up just yet. I have a very active monkey mind and for me allowing myself to enter a state of daydreaming was the best way to receive guidance.
When I discovered Shamanic journeying it was love at first try 🙂 Although, I experienced doubts and still do, I found a way to meditate that resonates with me. We are taught to dismiss our imagination and the information that comes from our daydreaming and that our dreams are not real.
I now believe that there are much knowledge and symbolism coming through this gateway.
A quick meditative practice is to imagine and sense your breath coming in through and out from your heart center. A few minutes of this exercise and you quickly find yourself more relaxed and balanced.
If you are just started, using guided meditation or sound music (I recommend Tom Kenyon) might make it easier. It’s all about persistence and finding the practice that works best for you.
